Pre-test for 3rd Engineer Promoted to 2nd Engineer
To determine the current competency of the Third Marine Engineer in performing their duties as an officer in charge of an engineering watch in preparation for their promotion to Second Marine Engineer.
Intended Evaluation Outcome/s:
After the evaluation, the assessor should be able to assess and determine the current competence of the 3rd Engineers in the following competencies:
- operate auxiliary machinery;
- operate auxiliary engines and associated systems;
- operate electrical, electronic, and control systems; and
- perform maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment
- Entry Standards:
- Must be a 3rd Engineer being promoted to 2nd Engineer
