Pre-Joining Training of Deck Officers and Ratings for Ultra Large Container Vessels
This course aims to provide pre-joining familiarization training for deck officers and ratings who will join Ultra Large Container Vessels (ULCV).
Intended Training Outcome/s:
After the training, the trainees should be able to:
- explain the operation of pilot ladder winch reels;
- explain the mooring/unmooring and tug’s line handling operation; and
- explain the use of hydraulically operated windlass brakes.
