Operation and Maintenance of Man 2-Stroke Diesel Engines
The course aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of Marine Engineer Officers in the operation, maintenance and repair of 2-stroke diesel engine.
Intended Learning Outcome/s
After the training/assessment, the participant/s shall be able to:
- Inspect cylinder cover assembly
- Inspect piston assembly and cylinder liner
- Inspect main bearing for wear
- Inspect chain drive for wear
- Inspect fuel oil injection system components
- Operate main engine in a simulated exercise
- Perform change over operation from HSFO to LSFO in Emission Control Area (ECA)
