Familiarization in Hybrid Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems Webinar
The webinar aims to provide Marine Engineering Officers with updating training on the operation of hybrid V-type marine exhaust gas cleaning systems following MARPOL 73/78 Annex VI regulations, maritime industry standards, and operation manuals.
Intended Training Outcome/s:
After this training, the trainees should be able to:
- define the MARPOL 73/78 Annex VI requirements related to the use of fuel oil following Resolution MEPC.320(74),
- compare different local regulations of air pollution prevention requirements against international regulations,
- define the different exhaust gas cleaning system technology,
- identify the functions of the wash water treatment system,
- Identify the functions of the exhaust gas monitoring system., and
- comply with local regulations regarding wash water discharging from exhaust gas cleaning systems.
Entry Standards:
Must be an Operation or Management Level Engineer Officer, ETO.
