Familiarization in Hybrid Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems Webinar
The webinar aims to provide Marine Engineering Officers with updating training on the operation of hybrid V-type marine exhaust gas cleaning systems following MARPOL 73/78 Annex VI regulations, maritime industry standards, and operation manuals.
Training Outcome/s:
After the training, participants must be able to:
- Define the MARPOL 73/78 Annex VI requirements related to the use of fuel oil following Resolution MEPC.320 (74).
- Compare different local regulations of air pollution prevention requirements against international regulations,.
- Define the different exhaust gas cleaning system technology.
- Identify the functions of the wash water treatment system.
- Identify the functions of the exhaust gas monitoring system.
- Comply with local regulations regarding wash water discharging from exhaust gas cleaning systems.
Qualifications:
Participant must be an Operation or Management Level Engineer Officer or Electro-Technical Officer.
