Engine Room Watchkeeping Refresher Training for Operational Level

Aims to provide refresher and updating training for Operational Level Engineer Officers to refresh their competency of best management practices for engine watchkeeping and operations.

Intended Learning Outcome/s

After the training/assessment, the participant/s shall be able to:

• Operate various types of pumps.
• Operate the Auxiliary Boiler
• Operate Fresh Water Generator
• Operate Separators
• Operate Air Compressors
• Operate auxiliary engine and associated systems
• Operate main engine and associated systems
• Maintain the normal Operating parameters of the engines
• Calculate main engine specific fuel oil consumption
• Inspect cylinder head assembly
• Inspect fuel oil injection pump
• Calibrate fuel injection valve
• Create inspection report
• Apply pollution prevention procedures to the marine environment
• Apply basic configuration and operating principles of electrical equipment
• Apply basic configuration and operating principles of control systems
• Use Electrical Testing and Measuring Equipment
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic equipment

Course Prerequisite & Qualification

Must be an Operational Level Engineer Officer
