Chartworld eGlobe G2 Type Specific

 This course is designed to provide comprehensive familiarization and training to enhance the knowledge, understanding and skills of marine deck officers in the operational use of the type specific ChartWorld eGlobe G2 ECDIS in order to maintain the safety of navigation.

Training Outcome/s

After the training, the participants must be able to:

• Use the controls and functions of ChartWorld eGlobe G2 ECDIS as required by the performance standards;
• Apply correct adjustment of information, including own position, sea area display, mode and orientation, chart data displayed, and user-created information layers;
• Confirm vessel’s position by alternative means;
• Use correct settings and values to suit given conditions and to ensure conformance to operational   procedures, including alarm parameters for anti-grounding proximity to contacts and special areas; and
• Plan a safe route in accordance with the standard bridge procedures in passage planning.

Qualifications

Marine Deck Officers, both Operational and Management Levels, and Prospective Marine Deck Officers who have successfully completed a generic ECDIS training following the principles of the IMO Model Course 1.27, Operational Use of ECDIS.
