Bridge WatchKeeping Refresher Training for Operational Level Deck Officers

Aims to provide refresher and updating training for Operational Level Deck Officers to refresh their competency of best management practices for Safe Navigation and bridge watchkeeping procedures.

Intended Learning Outcome/s

After the training/assessment, the participant/s shall be able to:

• Comply with the content of Regulatory requirements and Standards regarding Bridge watchkeeping
• Conduct Ship handling;
• Calculate routine navigational problems
• Navigate through IALA maritime buoyage system
• Manage electronic nautical publications;
• Use ECDIS to maintain the safety of navigation;
• Demonstrate the application of international regulations for the prevention of collisions at seas and manual radar plotting
