Bridge WatchKeeping Refresher Training for Operational Level Deck Officers

This training is designed to provide refresher and updating training for Operational Level Deck Officers to refresh their competency in best management practices for bridge watchkeeping.

Training Outcome/s

After the training/assessment, the participant/s shall be able to:

• Comply with the content of Regulatory requirements and Standards regarding Bridge watchkeeping; 
• Conduct Ship handling; 
• Adhere to the application of international regulations for the prevention of collisions at seas and RADAR capabilities and limitations;   
• Navigate through IALA maritime buoyage system;   
• Manage electronic nautical publications;     
• Use ECDIS to maintain the safety of navigation; and   
• Maintain a safe navigational watch.
