3G Welding Trade Test Revalidation

The welding trade test revalidation program aims to renew the Welders Qualification Test Certificate of a shipboard-qualified welder with uninterrupted welding activity within a five-consecutive six-month period to qualify for the prolongation or revalidation of the Welders Qualification Test Certificate issued by Bureau Veritas (BV) or any other recognized welding society or any qualifying organization.

Assessment Outcome/s:

• Determine record of uninterrupted welding activity within a five-consecutive-six-month period, before expiration of welding certification.
• Conduct welding inspection during welder’s performance and affix surveyor’s / inspector’s / assessor’s or qualified instructor’s stamp or signature in the test coupon for an acceptable result.
• Determine the level of skills of a welder based on the pre-defined criteria stipulated in the Performance Evaluation Monitoring Checklist Form
