COMPANY PROFILE

Our Company

United Marine Training Center (UMTC) is a high-quality maritime educational institution providing world-class instruction and training to seafarers. Our mandate is to develop them into highly competent marine professionals who are well-prepared to face the challenges of the shipping industry.

Our Services

We provide comprehensive cadet and upgrading training programs to all seafarers to augment their skills and fully familiarize them with the industry's demands. We also develop customized programs to suit company-specific needs.

Our quality-oriented team comprises 70 full-time instructors and 70 non-teaching staff. Our standards are high, and our methods are comprehensive. Our facilities, workshops, laboratories, and equipment are state-of-the-art. We employ all of these to ensure our trainees reach their full potential. We are developed into determined, service-oriented, and outstanding seafarers who are significant assets to their companies and the industry.

Our History

We are the result of more than two decades of pursuing excellence and innovation in the maritime sector. Established in 1998 in a single lecture room doubling as the office and another room for culinary training.

In 2004, we expanded our operations to fulfill the growing need for well-trained seafarers. This led to the establishment of three more classrooms for the cadet training program, a computer laboratory, and a culinary center.

We finally moved to our present site in the heart of Manila in 2008. We provide training for up to 40,000 seafarers annually and continuously represent the spirit of collaboration and commitment our company espouses. We're continually expanding, enhancing, and improving to deliver world-class training for seafarers.
