The course aims to develop competency in voyage planning using ECDIS while considering the best industry practices and requirements.
Training Outcome/s:
After the training, participants must be able to:
- Apply the international mandatory requirements for voyage planning.
- Apply the company procedures required for voyage planning.
- Conduct an appraisal of the intended voyage.
- Plan the voyage using ECDIS
- Execute and monitor the voyage using ECDIS as primary means of navigation.
- Demonstrate navigational safety using ECDIS
Qualifications:
Participants must have completed an Operational Use of ECDIS Training.
