Ships` Cook Apprenticeship Training Program

The SCATP is a program that takes graduates from the BHRM or that have relevant industry experience and want a career at sea as a ship cook. The course is developed in line with the TESDA Approved NCIII Ships Cook Qualification and focuses on the practical aspects of cooking, food safety and sanitation and victualling. An important aspect of the training is the focus on being a sole cook onboard a merchant vessel and being competent to meet the demands of one of the most important jobs onboard. Our graduates are highly skilled and have the confidence to work onboard anywhere in the world.
