Refrigerant Gases Manipulation And Reeferman Training
The course aims to enhance the knowledge, understanding, and proficiency of Reefermen, Electrotechnical Officers, and Marine Engineering Officers in the safe handling, operation, and maintenance of refrigerated containers loaded onboard ships.
Training Outcome/s
After the training, participants must be able to:
- Describe the basic thermodynamic and refrigeration processes.
- Determine the environmental impact of refrigerants and associate them with the corresponding environmental regulations.
- Recognize the refrigeration principles implemented in refrigerated containers.
- Identify the different mechanical refrigeration, electrical, and electronic components installed on reefer containers.
- Demonstrate safe handling and operation of refrigerated containers.
- Demonstrate servicing of reefer container systems.
- Demonstrate performance of reefer maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs.
