Reefer Container Maintenance and Troubleshooting
The course aims to enhance the competency of engine personnel in performing maintenance and repairs of shipboard reefer containers.
It covers lectures, practical demonstrations, exercises, and assessments on the proper maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of shipboard reefer containers using functional reefer container units and industry-relevant tools and equipment, meeting the requirements prescribed in the applicable sections of Tables A-III/1, A-III/2, and A-III/6 of the STCW Code 2010 Manila Amendments.
Training Outcome/s:
- demonstrate proper operation and testing of reefer container systems
- perform maintenance and repairs of shipboard reefer containers
Entry Standard/s:Engine personnel who have completed a course on Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Systems (RACS) and Reefer Container Operations Training (RCOT). Duration: 1 day |
