Pneumatics and Hydraulics for Marine Applications

The course aims to enhance the competence of engine personnel in pneumatics and hydraulics which is essential in performing practical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic and hydraulic systems on board ships.

Training Outcome/s:

After the training, the participants must be able to:

• Explain the operating principles of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Interpret pneumatic and hydraulic symbols and schematic diagrams through circuit simulation software.
• Analyze the operation of shipboard pneumatic and hydraulic systems using laboratory equipment.
• Perform practical fault-finding in pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
