Oxy-Acetylene Gas Welding
This course aims to provide seafarers with practical knowledge and skills in oxy–acetylene gas welding (OAGW) procedures, an understanding of proper safety welding practices, and all aspects and technical principles, preparation, and methods as applied in gas welding operations, preferably in the maritime industry.
Training Outcome/s:
After the training, participants must be able to:
- Determine the needs in Oxy – Acetylene Gas Welding.
- Perform Butt Weld Using Oxy-Acetylene Gas Welding.
- Perform Gas Cutting
Entry Standard/s:
- Must be Engine and deck cadets with or without onboard experience
- Engine and Deck ratings
- OIC or management level personnel without welding background
