Hazardous Materials for Ratings Webinar

The course aims to enhance the competency of deck and engine officers in safely transporting and handling hazardous materials on board.

The course provides an understanding of the physical characteristics and chemical properties of hazardous substances, as well as an examination of the intrinsic hazards and risks associated with them. It covers exercises on the applications of the IMDG and the IMSBC Code, focusing on the safe and compliant transport of dangerous, hazardous, and harmful cargoes by sea, under the requirements prescribed in Section B-V/b 2 of the STCW Code 2010 Manila Amendments.
