Engine Room Simulator with Engine Room Resource Management (ERS with ERRM)
This course combines lectures, demonstrations, practical exercises, and assessments using an engine-room simulator. It covers the applicable requirements for demonstrating competency as specified in Sections A-III/1, A-III/2, and A-III/6 of the STCW Code, as amended, and aligns with the recommendations and guidelines outlined in the IMO Model Course 2.07, Engine-Room Simulator, 2017 Edition.
Training Outcome/s:
After the training, the trainees should:
- apply engine room resource management principles;
- operate main and auxiliary machinery and associated control system;
- maintain a safe engineering watch; and
- apply necessary measures to prevent damage to machinery and control system
