Among the institution’s recent initiatives are programs focused on guaranteed employability for selected Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) cadets, mental health awareness for both seafarers and land-based professionals, digital learning campaigns, specialized technical training, and sustainability-focused maritime programs aligned with the evolving needs of the global shipping industry, including future fuels.

His expertise has contributed to policy and curriculum development initiatives, including serving on the Technical Working Group of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) to develop the Electro-Technical Officer and Electro-Technical Rating curriculum in the Philippines.
