The Power Partnership of UMTC and MSC Cruises

  The United Marine Training Center (UMTC) and MSC Cruises, one of the world's largest global cruise brands, have formed a power partnership to best serve the maritime industry with excellence, efficiency, and innovation.

This partnership was established to provide high-quality workforce training and advancements for the industry, particularly in cruise shipping.

 

UMTC focuses on supporting MSC Cruises to effectively deliver its training programs. With UMTC’s state-of-the-art facilities and the MSC instructors’ guidance and expertise, the trainees will benefit while learning practical skills needed for the advancement of their careers.

 

The partnership will also focus on enhancing environmental safety and health practices as MSC Cruises has long been committed to stewardship and sustainability while continuously providing high-quality customer service.

On April 2023, MSC conducted its pilot class on Housekeeping and Restaurant Training which endeavors to improve safety onboard, enhance customer service, and advance operational efficiency.

In addition to the pilot programs, the following are set to run as well:

  • Utility Training.
  • Bar Training.
  • Galley Training.

This joint venture between UMTC and MSC Cruises demonstrates both organizations' extensive experience in developing innovative solutions and services to benefit the maritime industry.
