Green Marine's Specialized Training in Methanol as Marine Fuel at United Marine Training Center

The United Marine Training Center (UMTC) was honored to host Green Marine's course last 19-20 August, in which they conducted their Specialized Training in Methanol as Marine Fuel. This pivotal training session included participants from the governing body of the maritime sector in the Philippines, Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) representatives, and officials:

 
  • Samuel Batalla, Executive Director, STCW Office
  • Capt. Vicente Navarro, Deputy Director, STCW Office
  • Presca Lee Lugo, Head, STCW METS

The two-day training focused on preparing seafarers for the evolving shift towards shipping decarbonization. As Green Marine continues to advocate for empowering the maritime workforce, the session underscored the importance of methanol as a viable and sustainable alternative fuel
