Expansion of Welding Facility in UMTC

United Marine Training Center (UMTC) is proud to announce the expansion of the welding facility to meet the increasing demand for skilled welders for both land-based industry and onboard workforce.

This facility has an additional 16 welding booths equipped with the latest technology manufactured by Miller Electric Company which allows UMTC to accommodate more trainees to perform all types of Electric Arc Welding Processes such as Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Metal Inert Gas (MIG), and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG).

 

UMTC trains welders in 3G and 6G positions for their Welder Performance Qualification conducted by Bureau Veritas for the Class Certification, ensuring that they meet the highest standards in the industry.

The expansion proves our commitment to providing high-quality training and education in the maritime industry.
