Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems
This course aims to enhance the knowledge, understanding and skills of engine personnel on the working principle of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems and its applications, necessary for them to perform proper and safe operation, maintenance, and repairs of shipboard equipment and machinery. It provides interactive lectures, hands-on demonstrations, laboratory exercises, practical exercises, and assessments using industry-relevant tools and equipment.
Intended Learning Outcome/s
After the training/assessment, the participant/s shall be able to:
- Perform refrigeration safety procedures
- Use electrical PPE properly
- Interpret refrigeration and air-conditioning schematic diagrams
- Use measuring and testing instruments.
- Monitor the condition of refrigeration and air-conditioning components
- Operate refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment
- Conduct maintenance on refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
