Refrigerant Gases Manipulation And Reeferman Training
This course aims to enhance the knowledge, understanding and skills of Reefer Electricians, Electrical Officers, and Engine Officers in the safe handling, operation and maintenance of refrigerated containers loaded onboard ships. It covers interactive lectures, hands-on demonstrations, practical exercises, and assessments in the proper handling, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of various systems for refrigerated containers loaded onboard ships. It uses industry-relevant tools, equipment and actual reefer units such as Carrier, Daikin, Thermoking and Starcool systems installed in the training room.
Intended Learning Outcome/s
After the training/assessment, the participant/s shall be able to:
- Perform safe handling of shipboard reefer containers;
- Operate reefer equipment;
- Monitor the operating condition of reefer systems; and
- Conduct maintenance on reefer systems.
