Commercial Admiralty Law
The aim of the training course is to deepen the knowledge in commercial admiralty law in maritime transportation and the practical application of the most common commercial admiralty laws used in maritime transportation
Intended Learning Outcome/s
After the training/assessment, the participant/s shall be able to:
- Demonstrate analyzing and interpreting the Hague, Hague-Visby and Hamburg Rule
- Explain and prepare the requirements of a Notice of Readiness
- Explains the importance of letter of indemnity, Cargo Manifest and Mate Receipt
- Determine the differences between the maritime conventions
- Work out the key provision of the Rotterdam Rules
- Interpret Bill of Ladings, Time and Voyage charter parties
- Determines the responsibilities and liabilities out of maritime conventions and charter parties
- Explain the required steps necessary for claims and incident handling
- Prepare a sea protest, statement of fact
- Explain the York Rules and apply it in salvage operation
