Ship Security Officer

This training program aims to provide knowledge, understanding, and skills to personnel who may be designated to undertake the duties and responsibilities as Ship Security Officer (SSO).

Training Outcome/s

After the training, the participants must be able to:

• Explain the procedures in maintaining and supervising the implementation of a Ship Security Plan (SSP).
• Assess security risk, threat, and vulnerability.
• Undertake regular inspections of the ship to ensure that appropriate security measures are implemented and maintained.
• Operate, test, and calibrate security equipment and systems
• Explain the importance of security awareness and vigilance
