Marine Fuel Management
The webinar aims to provide updated training for Marine Engineering Officers to enhance their knowledge, skills, and safe working practices in the Maritime industry regarding up-to-date requirements for marine fuels, including the latest pollution prevention rules.
Training Outcome/s
After the training, participants must be able to:
- Compare properties of different fuel oils.
- Define the MARPOL 73/78 Annex VI requirements related to using fuel oil by Resolution MEPC 320(74).
- Apply international and local regulations for air pollution prevention.
- Comply with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) documentation.
- Maintain fuel oil systems.
- Calculate the required bunker quantity.
- Perform bunkering operations safely.
- Manage fuel oil reporting.
