Crane Handling Simulator
The course aims to enhance the knowledge, understanding and profeciency of seafarers who will be designated to operate pedestal crane on board ship.
Intended Learning Outcome/s
After the training/assessment, the participant/s shall be able to:
- Identify the mechanical parts of ship’s cargo handling gear
- Apply the safety guidelines and precautions when operating pedestal and heavy lift cranes
- Discuss statutory requirements pertaining to lifting equipment
- Examine the capacity of ship’s lifting equipment
- Carry out crane inspection
- Demonstrate loading and unloading operation
